Shilpa Ashok is a dedicated Bharatanatyam practitioner, dance educator, and Artistic Director of Nitya Natyashale. Her journey in Bharatanatyam began at age 5 under her aunt, Karnataka Kalashree Smt. Savitha Arun, a renowned artist who trained with the master Vidwan Shornur Rajarathnam Pillai.

Shilpa has performed at various prestigious dance festivals in India, showcasing pieces like “Sindhoora Ganapa” and “Mohini Bhasmasura.” As an educator since age 18, she is committed to nurturing dancers of all ages and passing on the traditions of the art form.

In addition, Shilpa serves as Vice President of Sandalwood Arts & Entertainment Inc., which promotes Kannada culture and the arts. She founded Nitya Natyashale in October 2020 to raise awareness of Bharatanatyam and mentor young talent, fostering a disciplined and passionate environment for her students.
